What a courageous and moving film. The character of your brother John Paul (“Rom”)– in all its troubled complexity– really emerges here, although there is some opaque intangibility there too, as though he wanted to keep the world (and perhaps even loved ones) at arm’s length. I am sorry you lost your brother. Is there a parallel between that loss and the sound of the wind underpinning your text?
I think this is a very brave piece and I thank you for creating and sharing it.
It is achingly beautiful. You memorialized him without judgment; I would call it a loving tribute. Bravo.
